Blog 3- Anxiety Disorders

As in life we have many life event experiences that can give us a sense of anxious feeling that will tend not to go away but just get worse. This may be from having an Anxiety Disorder, from MayoClinic they addressed that having an anxiety disorder is having an excessive, intense, and persistent worry and fear about every day events (mayoclinic.org). These excessive worries and fear tend to interrupt the daily activities and are at least persistent for 6 months.  There is a spectrum of anxiety disorders and they can be Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobia-related disorders, and separation anxiety disorders.          As we all have heard ADHD and assume that is mostly a child or individual that is super hyper and acts out but the truth is that is not the case. Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is known for the acronym of ADHD which according to National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), is a disorder that is ongoing pattern of inattention or hyperactivity to impulsivity that interferes their daily activities, functions or development (NIMH, n.d.). Inattention is when not be able to focus on simple tasks such as doing homework for a certain time or tends to wander off during tasks; hyperactivity is when an individual has an excessive of movements like fidgeting or taps and in adults seem more restless with constant activity; impulsivity is when doing an action without thinking ahead that can put them or others in harm or excessively interruptive among others.           Most of the symptoms are these behaviors inattention, hyperactivi...
