          Eating Disorders have the misconception that is a lifestyle choice but it is in fact it is a mental health illness that can affect anyone and any gender or age. According to Mayoclinic, eating disorders are a serious and fatal illness related to persistent eating behavior that impacts your health, your emotions, and your ability to function in your life. These negative behaviors can have the individual focus too much on their body image, body weight, and amount of food eaten which can lead to damage to the heart, digestive system, bones, teeth, mouth, and other diseases. One of the most disabled and chronic mental illness is Schizophrenia, according to National Institute of Mental Health (NIHM), they define Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe mental disorder that affects a person how a person thinks, feels, and behaves which leads them to have lost touch of reality. The lost touch of reality is what leads the person to have hallucinations, distorted thoughts and causes signs/symptoms starting between the ages of 16 to 30. As in life we have many life event experiences that can give us a sense of anxious feeling that will tend not to go away but just get worse. This may be from having an Anxiety Disorder, from MayoClinic they addressed that having an anxiety disorder is having an excessive, intense, and persistent worry and fear about every day events (mayoclinic.org). These excessive worries and fear tend to interrupt the daily activities and are at least persistent for 6 months.  There is a spectrum of anxiety disorders and they can be Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobia-related disorders, and separation anxiety disorders.          As we all have heard ADHD and assume that is mostly a child or individual that is super hyper and acts out but the truth is that is not the case. Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is known for the acronym of ADHD which according to National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), is a disorder that is ongoing pattern of inattention or hyperactivity to impulsivity that interferes their daily activities, functions or development (NIMH, n.d.). Depression is a mood disorder that can affect an individual feeling of sadness that is persistent and tends to affect their cognitive, physical, and mood as being some of their symptoms.
